Szymon Bartosiewicz 3 года назад (изменено) No. The procedure will be too long and the keyboard will die too early.

Sandee Alpern Gmail Год назад Outstanding video. I managed to replace my HP laptop keyboard on eBay for $14.32 U.S. but would definitely have used your technique if I couldn't. (From HP, it was about $47 plus shipping.) Good job!
  • Asad Hassan Larik
Asad Hassan Larik 5 месяцев назад can you explain the soldering at 6:59 . Did you break these tabs when dismantling and then applying heat to fix them?
  • Albrecht Hilker
Albrecht Hilker Год назад In case that only liquid has entered this <CAN BE DONE MUCH EASIER>. I had the same problem and it is not necessary to dismount the keyboard at all. Put the keyboard into the plain sun an entire day. If you don't have strong sun do the following: Switch your baking oven on the lowest level, put a towel on a baking tray and the keyboard on top of it. Let the door of the ofen open and control that it does not become too hot. The keyboard must be quite hot for a few hours and all the moisture will vaporize. After that my keyboard worked again perfectly without dismounting anything and without doing that huge work as shown in that voiceless video.

  • xanScorp
xanScorp 2 года назад How'd you get the keyboard to reattach to the frame? Mine just wants to be stubborn and not reattach.
  • Dobai1
Dobai1 Год назад You have to use a clean soldering iron to melt the plastic pins back to the backplate as he does at 7:00. If the keyboard was the same as the one he's repairing this will work but be careful when you disassemble the front frame because those pins are a pain to work with.
