Dennis Canon 4 года назад Wow, very detailed and informative. Erictheguy should be worried. Love that you film every angle/shot and with proper lighting. Do you have someone holding the camera? I don't even hear any traffic - just birds chirping. I hope you're sponsored because you're good at what you do. Keep up the great work!!
  • ChrisFix
ChrisFix 4 года назад Haha, thanks a lot man! I do everything myself. I use a tripod and many times I wish I had a 3rd arm. I edit all of the traffic out and as much of the other noise (birds, planes, buses, etc) out as well. I am currently looking for sponsorships but no luck yet. Thanks for the awesome feedback! I really appreciate it! It makes making these how to videos worth the effort!

sn Год назад Hi ChrisFix, Can't believe you don't have sponsors beating down your door to attach themselves to your top notch you-tubes.. Thank you so much for great gift of free instruction and advice on car repairs, I couldn't do it without you and a couple other of the great generous you-tube mechanics. and the factory service manual. .. I have watched a lot of your auto-repair videos and never seen you do any Hack thing on them, always professional, the best! Whoever you learned from was stellar. Thanks for the inspiration to do it right, too! Nicole

ChrisFix 4 года назад +Brian Ramuno, I cannot reply to your comment for some reason but I hope you see this. I dont know what springs you need to compress. You are not taking the control arm off, you are just moving the knuckle out of the way. I will have a new video next Thursday working on another car to show you the similarities and difference in removing the ball joint and pressing in a new one. If you watch the video, that is what you need to do to press out a ball joint.

takeadayofff 2 года назад (изменено) 8:48 turn the C-clamp upside down to install it easier. Remeber, it's a system with 2 opposing pressure points, so the force upon them is identical no matter which way the C-clamp is pointed. 9:38 the sharp edge of the snapring should be pointed down so if the press fitting looses tension from extreme use, the snap ring will bind in the groove and help prevent separation. 9:44 tap around the snapring with a flat blade punch and a small hammer to make absolutely sure it is fully seated in the groove. Probably best to install the grease zerk last so u don't damage it during CV/knuckle maneuvering.

Rochelle Anderson Год назад Omg I'm so beyond excited to have found this from you! All four upper and lower ball joints are bad in my SUV and I have been told that'll be well over a grand maybe even a couple grand fix. I was looking all over the Internet for info on how to do this at home and came up pretty much empty handed. All your videos are so detailed and easy to follow even for people who have no car knowledge. I feel confident I can order the parts and do this. Thanks so much! Btw I can't believe you haven't found sponsorship. Someone should pick you up soon.
